Since our beginnings in 2020, we have viewed Piedmont Permaculture as an opportunity to connect directly with our community through responsible food production. By providing natural products at an affordable cost, and implementing regenerative agricultural practices, we aim to positively impact our local food systems more and more each growing season.

We actively apply permaculture techniques on out farm to facilitate its transition towards a more stable, productive landscape with healthier soils and increased biodiversity.  We prize the ecological complexity of Virginia’s Piedmont region and recognize the opportunity to learn from its natural landscapes.

Through incorporating local flora, fauna, and fungi, we are modeling an agriculturally productive system that increasingly mirrors native habitats.

Our intent is to work with, rather than against, the natural world!

Our first-ever farm share program is currently underway.  Navigate here for more information and to reserve your spot for the upcoming late-season offering.

Thank you for joining us on our farming journey! As our site undergoes construction in the coming year, we hope you’ll visit again to see its progress.  Expect updates from the farm including social media posts as well as information on where you can find us at farmers’ markets.  If you would like to be a part of the Piedmont Permaculture network, we encourage you to add your name below and join our newsletter.
